Camp Themes

June 14-18th - Surfs Up!
Come catch a wave with us as we dive into the first week of Summer Camp!  This week we will be learning about this crazy guy names Jonah who spent three whole days in the belly of a whale!  In preparation for swim days you will get to make your own swim bag to carry your towel or flip flops, too bad it's not big enough for a surfboard!  We will also talk about the oil spill and how some stuff can make the beaches and oceans dirty, and make animals really sick, but there are some things we can do that will clean it up.

June 21-25th - Super Hero
How fast is fast?  SUPER-FAST!!  How strong is strong?  SUPER-STRONG!!  Who is super fast AND super strong?  A SUPERHERO!  This week we will talk about guys who tore down building, knocked out giants, killed a lion, and the actual superhero who saved the entire world! You will get to test your skills at martial arts, design your own super power and world to save!  And you will get to meet some heroes that are right here in your neighborhood!  Kids are encouraged to wear shirts with their favorite superheroes all week long!

July 5-9th - All Stars
Who do you root for?!  This week kids are encouraged to wear shirts to support their favorite teams.  Kids will get to learn the basics of some sports, and the importance of working as a team, and how to practice good sportsmanship.  And they will learn whose team we should all want to be on.

July 12-16th - Operation World
Hallo!  Hola!  Bonjour!  How do you say hello? This week we will follow the journeys of a guy names Paul who traveled to many countries.  The kids will get to learn about kids from other countries and the ways they are alike and also different. All week long we will be participating in a change drive, where the kids will bring in all the change they can find all week and we will donate the money raised at the end of the week to a Missions organization. (Specifically children's)

July 19th-23rd - Masterpiece
Everyone has a little Picasso, or Michael Angelo in them and this week we will get to see what everyone can do.  We will talk about the Ultimate Masterpiece Maker, and all his wacky and crazy creativity and how all of us were made so different, but so special.  Each craft this week is a "free craft" which means all of them are encouraged to paint, draw, design and color whatever their heart's desire and see what kinds of masterpieces they can make!

July 26-30th - Wild West
Saddle up Cowboys and Cowgirls!  This is the last week of Summer Camp and as we get ready to say Happy Trails to all of the fun and exciting times that we have had over the 7 weeks, we will lasso all that we have learned together and use it to prepare us for life's adventures to come!
